Please rate movie 1 to 5 stars
The only people who seemed to enjoy it were the group of 16 year old girls. I don't understand how parents wo uld allow them to see this.
I'm glad Charlie Hunnam bailed on this groaner. I'd hate to see him in this pathetic excuse for abuse
Simply Amazing! Dakota's acting was perfect - spot on. Music was great. Really Enjoyable!
I suppose the acting was decent and I suppose if you read and liked the book, you may appreciate the movie so go see it. I didn't read the book and found the movie a bit slow, unbelievable and disturbing. Don't bother if you didn't read the book.
Pitiful like the book. Go see Timbuktu instead.
"I loved the books, I loved the movie! If you are a fan see it! If you are going to complain...stay home! Laters Baby
Can't wait for the next one!
Doesn't portray a safe BDSM relationship at all. An embarrassment to put into theatres.
The funniest misfire since Showgirls!
Based on the international best-seller "Impressing Through Flatulence," this movie is all over the place in tone and content. All in all, it wasted my time and insulted my intelligence.
Terrible :S
Everything about this movie is bad. It definitely sends the wrong message. I wish it never made to the theaters.
No chemistry...slow and boring..put me to sleep, If you did not read the book you will wonder what the hype is all about.
Its hard to film a movie based on a book with so much detail and story! However, it was pretty good! Enjoy............
so much fun! have to see it in theatres!!!
for all the haters, if you haven't read the books you wont get the story! the film was done tastefully, looking forward to part 2. Dakota was fantastic. Great film!
Promoting & Celebrating sociopathic behavior and women debasing themselves is not good cinema, it's garbage.
Girlfriend wanted to see this one opening night so I went with her. Bad script, bad acting, boring, story lacking in credibility. I'm rethinking our relationship.
I loved this movie.. keep on hating guys!! Going to see it again!!!!
this is not an accurate representation of real, healthy BDSM relationships. He's a stalker/abusive rapist. I'm afraid this movie will send a misleading representation of a sub/dom relationship and people will get hurt but think it's okay. This movie is sickening.
Sickening. I was dragged to this movie by my girlfriend. Hated it!
The Red Room of Pain was disgusting, as was basically this entire movie.
Awesome movie!! Can't wait for the next one.
I just want to know how anyone can rate a movie they haven't even seen yet.. lol.. and for those of you who are so "Opposed" to the world of BDSM, how do you even know that if you haven't read the books... talking, thinking, wondering and even passing judgement on it makes you no better than those who are actually into it.. and who are you to judge what pleases some just because it displeases you.. I am all for anything and everything that makes a person happy.. I have read all 3 books and enjoyed them thoroughly.. Great food for the imagination.. am thinking that anyone who goes to see the movie knows exactly what they're in for and will enjoy it.. if you're skeptica
Why would anyone pay to see this garbage?
Anybody going into it expecting anything really kinky to happen onscreen is going to be very disappointed. Save your money.
Domestic violence put on film.
Actually really liked the movie. The two main actors did a good job. It was done tastefully.
Petty and gross, but I'd see it again.
Disgusting. An attempt to pass off abuse as BDSM. Intimidation, stalking, and ignoring consent is not sexy and not inherent to BDSM culture. This is blatant abuse.
Dumb -- offensively so.
Makes THE BOY NEXT DOOR look like CITIZEN KANE.
When the actors in their movie say it sucks and they don't even want anyone to see it there is a problem. The makers of this movie will not get any of my money.
Stupid Teenage Junk Movie. Just what every teen wants
Strives for 9 1/2 Weeks relevance but fails outright. Let's hope there's not a Fifty-One Shades of Grey coming down the pike...
What a slog this was...
Please put to rest of the super gorgeous guy ..we have our own choices but think on it, would any them really risk their careers...that is what I think. You have be so courageous to divulge such acts, all those hot hotties, think...are they able to do it on live? For those that call this a disappointment, shakes my head at them. This is simple love story that touched hearts, yes they brought to light the world of bdsm. So what...you like yellow and l like blue..we all have different tastes, and for those hard core into the lifestyle: Please grow up, and also the rest of the public that scorns this story. Yes it is a light version of bdsm....but who is to judge whose better?
This movie is gonna be amazing! Ok the guy isn't as gorgeous as described in the book but I can live with that. I may watch this movie many, many times depending on how true to the books it is.
Not sure how I feel about this movie. I never really understood the appeal of the books to begin with. And I have read them, all three of them, so it is not as if I am speaking poorly about them for no reason. When I read the stories (and I read them all one weekend) I expected there to be much more to them that what there was because of all the hype. I kept hoping for something to come out to redeem the plot and it never came. The story reads like a rather basic fan fiction, mixed feelings and lots of abuse and then everything ends up okay because they are in love, because love makes everything okay. In fact that was what I was thinking the whole time, how much it felt like I was reading f
Cannot wait to see this movie, because the majoraty of people who read the book(s) seems to 98% or more women.
I personally thought the series of books were AWESOME ! It was a beautiful story to the series. Definitely got to see the movie.
This series is NOT about BDSM, not even close. This is the romanticization of a controlling and abusive relationship. This is not okay and makes me sick that they've actually made this book into a movie. Doesn't even deserve one star. I hope it flops.
I love, love, love the books. Read it so many times and it is not because of the sex. I love the story line and can't wait to see the movie. People should give it a rest about the characters already. I love who they chose. Who says that this Christian is not handsome??? Give him a chance. If you don't like it don't go and see the movie....
Loved Loved the books I have read them 4 times and I can't wait for the movie to come out the trailer looks awesome kids under the age of 18 should not be permitted
I enjoyed the books an am looking forward to watching this with my husband. I agree it should be an 18+ movie
How uncomfortable is it going to be in the movie theater when people are watching this? The day before valentine's day also? And because of the nature of the film why not make it 18+??? Adolescent boys and girls are going to go watch this and be screwed up.
OMG Loved the books
People are getting far too worked up about a movie.. it is just that AND at least there are no heads or bodies being blown up !!! Chill people or just don't go to see it !! My problem with the movie is that you have the WRONG PERSON TO PORTRAY "CHRISTIAN". The premise in the book is such that Christian is absolutely GORGEOUS and everywhere he goes.. women stare. This will NOT HAPPEN because your leading man IS NOT and I repeat.. is NOT DROP DEAD GORGEOUS and for that simple mistake.. the movie will be a bust. Chris Pine, DAVID GANDY (my personal pick) and men like that would have been superb in this role. WHY OH WHY.. I am so disappointed in the Christian you picked !!!
