Say my name
Sylvester Stallone is dropping the Roman numerals and calling the sixth Rocky installment simply, Rocky Balboa. Stallone told the Daily Variety trade magazine the movie focuses on an aging, widowed Rocky who is reluctant to get back in the ring but ends up doing it "just to compete, not to win." Burt Young returns as Rocky's brother-in-law Paulie while Milo Ventimiglia of TV's Gilmore Girls plays Rocky Jr. The film, written and directed by Stallone, will hit theaters early next year.

Dallas, Florida?
The forthcoming movie version of TV hit Dallas could be made in Florida, to the fury of officials in Texas, where the 1980s soap was set. Aggressive film incentives by other states is said to be the reason. John Travolta, Luke Wilson and Jennifer Lopez are among the rumored cast for the big budget update on the tales of the Ewing family.


Bond has its ups and downs
On the upside, Casino Royale producers finally named French actress Eva Green (Kingdom of Heaven) as Bond girl Vesper Lynd. On the downside, Daniel Craig was left toothless and bleeding following a stunt that went horribly wrong during filming in Prague. The actor was hit in the face by an extra during a fight scene, breaking his two front teeth. Craig's London-based dentist was flown out to repair the star's super spy smile.

Birthday bashes
Demi Moore recently threw hubby Ashton Kutcher a $100,000 party to celebrate his 28th birthday. The posh party took place on the rooftop terrace of the Regent Beverly Wilshire hotel with guests such as Chris Rock and Bruce Willis attending. On the flip side, Vince Vaughn threw girlfriend Jennifer Aniston a much lower-key event to mark her 37th birthday. He ordered in McDonald's for them and their friends at her Malibu home.


Better than a Royale with cheese
She might not be French, but France sure loves Uma Thurman. The American-born star is the latest recipient of the country's Order of Arts and Letters. The Oscar nominee (Pulp Fiction) joins previous winners Leonardo DiCaprio, Bruce Willis, Meryl Streep and Robert Redford. The prize is awarded to artists and writers in recognition of their contributions to the arts in France and around the world.


No mystery here
Teen sleuth Nancy Drew is getting a modern update. Emma Roberts, daughter of actor Eric and niece of Julia, will play the teen sleuth with a knack for solving crimes. Nancy Drew: The Mystery in Hollywood Hills puts the ever-resourceful Nancy on the case of a long-dead Hollywood movie star.


Brotherly love
Casey Affleck (Ocean's Twelve) is set to star in big bro Ben's directorial debut, Gone, Baby, Gone. The drama centers on two Boston private eyes investigating a missing child in a neighborhood of broken families, ex-cons and bitter cops. Filming begins this summer in the Affleck boys' hometown of Boston.


The shirt off their backs
Two shirts worn by Jake Gyllenhaal and Heath Ledger in Brokeback Mountain have sold for $101,100 on auction website eBay. More than 160 bids were placed for the shirts worn by characters Jack Twist and Ennis Del Mar and featured prominently in a pivotal scene at the end of the film. The proceeds from the shirt sale will benefit Variety - The Children's Charity of Southern California.


Rock star indeed
One of the perks of being a rock star is a gorgeous girlfriend as INXS lead singer J.D. Fortune has found out. The band's frontman is dating fellow Canadian, model/actress Estella Warren who also stars in the band's Afterglow video.
